How to Receive CE/CME Credit for an Event

How to Receive CE/CME Credit: 

If participants have registered and attended an SDPC Continuing Education event/course, they are eligible to receive CE/CME credit. Participants must be present for the entire length of the event to be awarded credit. All participants must complete a brief event evaluation prior to receiving a CME Certificate. To receive CE/CMEs, participants must do the following:

  1. Verify attendance by signing in on the attendance sheet at in-person events. If attending online, participants must list full name under your video image to allow the Continuing Education Manager to confirm your attendance. Participants must have their cameras on at the beginning and the end of the event to receive credit. Note: partical attendance of a CE/CME activity will not be awarded CE/CME credit.
  2. Participants will receive a confirmation by email after registering with details about the event. For special accommodations, please contact the Event Coordinator
  3. Please contact the CME Administrator for any grievances.
  4. Three (3) days after the event is complete participants will receive a thank you for attending email with a link requesting that they complete an online Continuing Education Event Evaluation in order to receive their Continuing Education Credit.
  5. Upon completion of the evaluation participants will receive a thank you page confirming receipt of your evaluation. This page will containg a link to fill in participant name and license and the participant may then download their CE/CME Certificate of Attendance. Please note that once a CE certificate is printed, changes, edits, or additional information cannot be added.

Affiliation and Accreditation: 

SDPC is accredited by the California Medical Association (CMA #4001214) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Physicians attending our programs may report the listed number of hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ toward the CMA Certificate in Continuing Medical Education and the AMA's Physician Recognition Award.

The California Board of Psychology accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ continuing education credits from the California Medical Association (CMA), provided the content is relevant and applicable to the practice of psychology. Psychologists are responsible for reporting their individual attendance and CE credits to the Board of Psychology.

All attendees will be responsible for keeping your certificate of attendance for your own personal records; we do not keep individual copies of your attendance.

The San Diego Psychoanalytic Center is also approved as a Continuing Education Provider by the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT, provider #050121) to offer Category 1 credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and LEPs. The San Diego Psychoanalytic Center maintains responsibility for the program and all its content.

The San Diego Psychoanalytic Center offers continuing education to LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs as a joint provider accredited by CAMFT.  All content meets the requirements set by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (see 16 CCR section 1887.4.0 for General CE Course Content Requirements). Acceptance of of continuing education credits is at the discretion of the individual licensing board.

NURSE PRACTITIONERS & PHYSICIAN ASSOCIATES

NP’s, PA’s, and counselors will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the activity and online evaluation confirming their participation. Participants may claim credit for recertification; however, their professional organization/institute hold the final say on which accredited activities they accept.
