CAMFT Approved Continuing Education Provider 050121.The San Diego Psychoanalytic Center is also approved as a Continuing Education Provider by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), provider #050121. The SDPC CME Committee evaluates programs to ensure they meet the criteria for Category 1 Continuing Education credit for LMFT’S, LCSW’S, LPCC’S and LEP’S in accordance with the requirements set by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). SDPC maintains responsibility for all course programs and content. |
CONTINUING EDUCATION POLICIES
Continuing Education Goal: SDPC is committed to offering continuing education courses to train LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and LEPs to treat any client in an ethically and clinically sound manner based upon current accepted standards of practice.
Refund Policy: Payment for CME/CE events can be made online and in-person. No refunds can be given for events if the request for a refund is received at least 7 days before the event. Please email the CE Director with refund requests or questions. A $20 administrative fee will apply, as refunds are processed manually.
Registration: Preregistration is preferred prior to an event. You may also pay at the door. By registering for an event, all participants agree to abide by SDPC’s in-person and online meeting policies, including confidentiality, ethical conduct, and respectful participation. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in removal from the event and may be subject to disciplinary and/or legal action.
Please note: Some events will be recorded for educational purposes. Participants are requested to have their cameras on for CME credit. If you do not wish to be recorded, please be aware that your image and voice may be captured as part of the event.
Participants must be present, with camera on, for the entire length of the workshop to be awarded credit. Participants will not be given CEU credit if they are more than 15 minutes late and/or do not stay for the entire length of the workshop.
Attendance: Verify attendance by signing in on the attendance sheet at in-person events. If attending online, participants must list their full names under their video images to allow the Continuing Education Manager to confirm their attendance. Participants must have their cameras on at the beginning and the end of the event to receive credit. Participants will not be given credit if they are more than 15 minutes late and/or do not stay for the entire length of the event. Note: partial attendance at a CE/CME activity will not be awarded CE/CME credit.
Accommodations: The special needs of persons with disabilities will be accommodated. Please contact the Event Coordinator if you have any special needs.
Grievance Procedure: SPDC will respond to complaints in a reasonable, ethical, and timely manner when submitted by program attendees in writing to the Continuing Professional Development Director.
Anti-Discrimination Policy: SDPC shall not discriminate against any individual or group with respect to any service, program or activity based on gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, creed, national origin, citizenship status, sexual orientation, religion, age, ability, or other prohibited basis.
Certificates: Course completion certificates will be awarded based on full attendance of the training and submission of their completed evaluation.
