Dr. Kierce is a school psychologist and a clinical psychologist. She has spent her career advocating for, and working with, children, adolescents, and their families. She has expertise in school-based psychological services (e.g., IEP and Section 504), as well as the evaluation of child and adolescent neurodevelopmental disorders (i.e., ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, Intellectual Disabilities). She also earned an advanced certification in adult psychoanalytic psychotherapy from San Diego Psychoanalytic Center. She has worked in psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults who have had a wide range of challenges that included severe, chronic, and clinically complex presentations. Her clinical interests include psychological and psychoeducational assessment, resilient outcomes in regard to people who experience anomalous circumstances, the impact of culture on psychological development, advocacy for those who experience societal oppression as well as children within the school system, play therapy for children aged zero to five, childhood disruptive disorders, grief, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and personality issues. She finds great joy and meaning working with active-duty servicemembers, veterans, and their families.
