Abby Marie Brewer-Johnson, Psy.D., ABPP

Dr. Abby Brewer-Johnson is a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychologist and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist in private practice in Encinitas, California. She is a graduate of SDPC's Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy program and she has received advanced training in Mentalization Based Therapy from the Anna Freud Center at UCLA Semel Institute.  In addition to Dr. Brewer-Johnson’s work in private practice, she is also an Adjunct faculty at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and she has also served as mental health consultant for AKA Headstart and Supervising psychologist at Rady Children's Outpatient Psychiatry.  She has over 18 years of experience working with adults, children and their famiiles in multiple roles and across various setttings, including community based agencies, a residential program, a hospital setting and university counseling centers.
